Rose Bourgeois was born February 10, 1874, in Bay St. Louis, Hancock, MS, to Augusta Bourgeois and Ellen Cartell. She married George Henry Wainwright on August 28, 1893, also in Bay St. Louis. Their children were Ellen Elizabeth, Laura Agnes, Lorenzo, Nora, David Hyrum, Eliza, Veda, and George Albert.
