Their children were Bernadette Caroline Geis, Josephine Louise Geis, Alphonse Henry Frederick Geis Jr., Charles Hiram Landry Geis, and Henry Louis Columbus Geis. All the children were born in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Alphonse died October 9, 1968 in New Orleans.
