Documents

1856 Iowa census listing Francis Thorn with his wive Harriet Thorn and children S. H. Thorn, Lewis Thorn, Louis Thorn, and Henry Thorn.
1880 Kansas census showing Lewis Thorne with his wife Mary and son Lewis L.. Also shown on this page is Levi Thorne with his wife Sarah and their children William and George.
1885 Kansus census listing Lewis Thorne with his wife Mary B. Thorne and children Harry Thorne and Ada Thorne.
1900 Payne County, Oklahoma, census listing Lewis Thorne with his wife Mary B. Thorne and children Harry Thorne. Addie Thorne, Kate Thorne, and Laura Thorne. Other children are listed on the next page: Mollie Thorne, Frankie Thorne, John Thorne, Lucy Thorne, and Gladdis Thorne.
Second page of the 1900 Payne County, Oklahoma, census listing children of Lewis Thorne and Mary B. Thorne: Mollie Thorne, Frankie Thorne, John Thorne, Lucy Thorne, and Gladdis Thorne.

1920 Census listing Lewis Thorne living with his daughter Kate Thorne and her family (the Priors).
1930 Long Beach, California, census record with Lewis Thorne (written Louis here) living with his daugher Kate Prior.
1930 census from "National Home" in california where retired military men were housed. This record indicates that Lewis Thorne was a veteran of the Civil War. It's strange that this 1930 census record lists Lewis Thorne as well as the 1930 census listing Lewis with the Priors. But both seem to be a record of the same person.
Civil War pension record listing Lewis Thorne and his wife Mary Thorne. Because the states of Kansas and California are listed, we believe this is Lewis Thorne and Mary Bell Pettibone who lived in those states.
